Sebastian Kawollek is the Group Leader of Plastic Components at RWTH Aachen University. His research focuses on the application of 3D printed parts in the automotive sector with the emphasis on equipment and injection moulding tools. The goal of his study is to create flexible and adaptable factories which enable agile development and production.
Sebastian obtained degrees in Mechanical Engineering in Production Engineering from RWTH Aachen University. He also studied at Aalto University in Finland where he gained knowledge in industrial engineering and management. He completed placements at the Laboratory for Machine Tools and Production Engineering (WZL) and at PEM, concentrating on factory planning and additive manufacturing.
