Sam Onukuri is the Head of 3D Printing Center at Johnson & Johnson and is responsible for integrating additive manufacturing across all enterprise sectors. He and his team of dedicated engineers drive new materials, processes and software technologies towards building a more solution-orientated business model. Sam works closely with the company’s department heads to execute multiple front-end pipelines of technologies related to 3D printing and net shape technologies.
J&J is emerging as one of the pioneers in 3D printing, offering product personalisation, speed to market, supply chain transformation and material innovation. Sam has over twenty-five years of experience in the healthcare industry and an extensive background in metallurgy. He led advanced technology activities for J&J’s medical devices and was a Senior Fellow Engineer at Ethicon. Sam also worked at General Electric and Baxter Healthcare.
