Dayton began his career at Citrine Informatics where he conducted user interviews to gain an understanding of the value proposition behind the company's machine learning, materials data platform. He also worked as an industry analyst and consultant. Dayton maintains deep industry expertise in the areas of additive manufacturing, materials, and informatics.
Dayton has a B.S. in Chemistry, with a minor in Business, Materials Science, and Engineering. He earned his M.S. in Chemistry from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Dayton also graduated from the University of Connecticut as a University and Honors Scholar. He is a two-time alumnus of the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair and was one of the three hundred national semifinalists in the annual Intel Science Talent Search.
