Vishwanath has 15+ years of experience in GE and into Medical devices research & development. He is currently Principal Engineer and CT Value Platform Leader in Global Computed Tomography (CT).
He has overall 17 years of Industry Experience. He has 6 US patents, 2 publications and a White paper.
He was instrumental in design and development of first indigenized CT in India –“Revolution ACTs” launched in 2015, for emerging markets in India and for world. He developed and executed several disruptive cost designs and innovative ideas on CT product to create substantial business impact over years.
He extended this Value platform to meet Hybrid CT needs for Nuclear Medicine - NM/CT D850/860 product lines. This helped the business to position clinically diagnose NM/CT product with superior image quality image.
He defined product roadmap and architecture for Revolution ASPIRE CT, which was recently launched in India region . A game changer CT in terms of its robustness, precision, clinically superior Image quality and affordability.
He and his team implemented first Metal (DMLM) 3D printed part (one of CT sub-system assembly) in GE Healthcare into production. He has been key in instrumenting several unique additive technologies into Medical devices in GE Healthcare.
Vishwanath has been guiding, mentoring and motivating several engineers in multiple engineering domains in GE.
